Receipt Vault export problems
Export seems stuck, or is taking a while
The Receipt Vault export packages every receipt image you've captured into a single ZIP, generated right on your device. For a business with hundreds of receipts across multiple years, this genuinely takes real processing time. Let it run, and avoid closing the tab partway through.
A receipt I know I captured isn't in the export
- Check the date range you selected for the export. If you're exporting a specific fiscal year, anything outside that range won't be included, by design.
- Check it's attached to a saved transaction. A receipt captured via OCR but never confirmed into a saved transaction might not make the cut. Go back to Receipts and confirm it's actually showing as attached, not sitting around as an unfinished draft.
- Check archived years. If the receipt belongs to a fiscal year you've already archived, export it from within the restored archive rather than the current working file.
The ZIP file is very large
That scales with how many receipts you have and how big the images are. A few years of receipts for an active business can genuinely run to hundreds of megabytes, and that's expected for a complete image archive. If you need something smaller for a specific purpose, export a narrower date range instead of your full history.
Images inside the export look different from the app
The Vault export contains your original captured images at full quality, not the thumbnail shown in the app, so file sizes and dimensions will naturally look different from the in-app preview. That's correct behaviour, not a bug.
